Day-to-Day Itinerary
Day 01:
Arrival in Antananarivo

We will meet you at Ivato International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city center.

Overnight: Pousse  Pousse Hotel

Day 02:
Antananarivo – Antsirabe

After breakfast, we travel along Route Nationale 7 toward Antsirabe, passing through the beautiful highlands and lush rice fields.

In the afternoon, we visit local craft workshops, a lapidary, and markets, or simply relax at the hotel.

In the evening, you can stroll through the charming town center or enjoy a traditional pousse-pousse (rickshaw) ride.

Day 03:
Antsirabe – Miandrivazo

After breakfast, we continue our journey west through the changing Malagasy countryside to Miandrivazo.

In the evening, you can relax at your hotel, where you will also meet the owner of the pirogue (traditional canoe) — your “captain” for the next few days on the river.

Day 04:
Miandrivazo – Masiakapy – Tsiribihina River – Begidro Village (Camping)

After breakfast, transfer by taxi-brousse to Masiakapy, where our river adventure begins.

Enjoy a relaxing journey down the majestic Tsiribihina River, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife — herons, ducks, parrots, raptors, kingfishers, chameleons, and butterflies.

At midday, we cross the Bemaraha Massif, a region rich in dry deciduous forest, lemurs, and the songs of tropical birds.

In the afternoon, refresh yourself under one of Madagascar’s most stunning waterfalls, Nosinapela, and swim in its natural pool.

We continue to Begidro Village, where we camp on a sandbank. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner by the fire, listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.

Overnight: Camping on the riverbank

Day 05:
Begidro Village – Tsiribihina River (Camping)

We continue our peaceful cruise downstream, stopping for lunch under the shade of a mango tree.

Later, we set up camp near a traditional Malagasy village.

After dinner, relax under a sky full of stars — free from city lights and noise — and enjoy the magic of the Malagasy night.

Overnight: Camping on the riverbank

Day 06:
Tsiribihina River – Tsarahotana – Antseraraka – Baobab Avenue – Morondava

On the final part of the river journey, enjoy views of rice fields and rural life along the riverbanks.

By midday, we reach the end of the boat trip and continue south by 4x4 vehicle to Morondava.

Along the way, we stop for lunch in a small village and take plenty of time for photos among the majestic Baobab trees.

We arrive at the famous Avenue of the Baobabs in time to enjoy the unforgettable Baobab sunset.

Afterward, we head to your hotel in Morondava.

Overnight: VEZO BEACH Hotel

End of the Tour

We can assist with your transfer to Morondava Airport or the taxi-brousse station the following morning.
