Detailed Itinerary

Day 01:
Arrival – Antananarivo (18 km)

Welcome to Madagascar! Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel in the city center.

Overnight at Le Chalet des Roses Hotel 

Day 02:
Antananarivo – Pereiras Reptile Farm – Andasibe – Night Walk

After breakfast, drive east along the scenic RN2 toward Andasibe. Stop at Pereiras Reptile Farm (Mandraka) to see Madagascar’s colorful chameleons, frogs, and geckos.

In the evening, enjoy a guided night walk near Andasibe to spot nocturnal lemurs and other wildlife.

Day 03:
Andasibe – Analamazaotra National Park – Vakona Reserve

After breakfast, explore Analamazaotra National Park, home to the famous Indri , the largest lemur in Madagascar.

After lunch, visit the Vakona Private Reserve to see lemurs up close, as well as crocodiles and water birds.

Day 04:
Andasibe – Boat Transfer to Palmarum Hotel – Night Walk

After breakfast, drive to the small river port and enjoy a boat transfer to Palmarum Hotel, located in a peaceful tropical setting along the east coast.

Settle in and relax, surrounded by lush vegetation and palm trees.

In the evening, take a guided night walk around Palmarum to see nocturnal species such as frogs, geckos, and mouse lemurs.

Day 05:
Palmarum – Visit of Palmarum Reserve

After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit of the Palmarum Reserve, a private forest area home to rare endemic plants, birds, and lemurs.

You’ll also discover local villages and learn about the daily life of the east coast people.

The afternoon is free for relaxation by the beach or river.

Overnight at Palmarum Hotel 

Day 06:
Palmarum – Boat Transfer to Tamatave – Drive to Mahambo

After breakfast, take a boat transfer from Palmarum to Tamatave (Toamasina), the largest port city in Madagascar.

Enjoy a short city tour, then continue your journey north to Mahambo, a peaceful seaside village known for its relaxed atmosphere.

Overnight at La Pirogue Hotel

Day 07:
Mahambo – Sainte Marie Island (by Ferry Boat)

After breakfast, transfer to the port and board a large ferry boat to Sainte Marie Island (about 3 hours).

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing on the beach.

Overnight at Libertalia Hotel (comfort bungalow).

Day 08:
Sainte Marie – Free Day

A free day to enjoy Sainte Marie Island — relax by the turquoise sea, go snorkeling, or visit the famous pirate cemetery.

Overnight at Libertalia Hotel (comfort bungalow).

Day 09
Sainte Marie – Antananarivo (by flight)

After breakfast, transfer to Sainte Marie Airport for your flight back to Antananarivo (Ivato Airport).
